Bleaching Liquid is a dis-infectant & a bleaching agent. Sodium Hypochlorite is the active chemical compound available in bleaching liquid. Commercial bleaching liquid is available in concentrations of 2%, 5%, 10%, 15% of Sodium hypochlorite. 2% & 5% concentrations are mostly used in household use whereas 5%, 10% & 15% are sold mostly in institutional markets.

Applications

Sodium Hypochlorite is available in many household cleaning liquids.  This can be used to whiten the white clothes & remove stains in clothes and used in garment washing plants. Sodium hypochlorite is not only also used in  purification of drinking water but also used in  waste water treatment.  Sodium Hypochlorite is also used in food industry for cleaning of equipment and dis-infecting swimming pool water.
